Found one of those little shape jelly bracelets that all the kids are crazy about on my walk this morning. A nice heart with an arrow through it. An apt metaphor for falling in love now that I think of it.....
Materials: found jelly bracelet, copper wire, linen cord, rayon ribbon.

this is very beautiful.......the heart with the arrow is like 2 hands holding the chest open so it can breathe and NOT be suffocated.......whoops...a little too much psychology on my end.........

ReplyDeleteNice! Your use of ribbon reminds me of the 18th century for some reason, particularly paired with this symbol of Cupid and a heart lost to love--I think that the elegance of the ribbon and shapes is what reminds me of the 18th century. I always associate that century with a high degree of elegance in manners and fashion.
ReplyDeleteI know, I've found that ribbon can convey an awful lot in a design, it's surprising.....
