The fuzzy part here is some tinsely trim I found in the flower district back in New York long, long times ago. the center piece is a scrap I've salvaged from a silk embroidered shawl that's literally disintegrating like so many snowflakes in the wind. Still pretty in it's decay though. Materials: tinsel trim, salvaged silk shawl, soutache.
This is my attempt, (and it will either kill me or cure me!) to step away from my commercial training in costume jewelry. To develop a way of creating that is more of a meditation, a practice. One necklace, every day for a year.
It does look like one of those make a wish weeds....are they called "milkweeds"???
ReplyDeleteMaybe you're thinking of those fuzzy dandelions when they're ready to seed? I remember being told to make a wish when you blow on them...
ReplyDeleteabsolutely, that is what i'm thinking about. blow on em and make a wish while you blow away all of their fuzzy fluff
