I grew collards over the winter and didn't keep up with pinching back the flowers. (Are you supposed to pinch back collards? I'm not sure this was my first batch...) The flowers are so pretty though, they stand a good four feet at least and sway in an elegant way in the breeze. Another pleasant gardening discovery.
Materials: collard green flowers, acrylic cord.

  1. nice.....looks like the sun god or goddess would wear this. I saw an ancient Roman gold leaf crown in a museum in Sicily and it was one of the most delicate and exquisite things I had ever seen. It had a very organic look like flowers do and it was such a lovely human scale. I am sure that the lucky person who wore it felt it's magical powers....and probably thought that they were a god or goddess.
