96...97...98...99...100! This blog is 100 necklaces old today! I salvaged pieces from a shattered yet intact full length mirror I found in the woods for this one. Sounds like there's a fairy tale behind that story..... Materials: recycled mirror, silk blend cord, rayon ribbon, plastic beads.
oooohhh, the blue sky reflection looks so robin's egg blue! I think there was a show on tv in the late 70's produced by Shelly Duval about fairy tales and Mick Jagger was in one or two as well. I think it was called 'Fairy Tale Theatre". Shelly would've loved this necklace.
Mirrors fascinate me--this is cool, with all the different angles reflecting the same image different ways. And congrats on reaching 100 necklaces--wow!
Thanks! I'm kind of surprised I've made it this far, thanks for sticking it out with me, your comments help a lot..... As far as the sky, that's a real carolina blue, I was very happy to have such a lovely color to reflect on in this picture.
This is my attempt, (and it will either kill me or cure me!) to step away from my commercial training in costume jewelry. To develop a way of creating that is more of a meditation, a practice. One necklace, every day for a year.
