Another flinty mica filled rock. I seem to be in a grey area these past few days. That's okay. More to life than just black and white.

Found a nice mica filled rock sparkling in the street lamps last night. Crocheted a necklace/cozy to set it off. I've heard there are mica mines somewhere in this state. Sounds like a fun place to visit.

Those scroll like wire shapes are meant to keep a chain link fence in place. But they didn't as you can see. Maybe this is another subconscious dowsing necklace, I'm not sure. Sometimes you can't quite apply reason to things you make in the wee hours of the morning.

I found a funny ball on one of my walks. There are little relief pictures of musical notes and a helicopter on it along with three tiny holes that must be there for a reason, but I can't figure out what that might be. I've paired it with one of my old rope experiments.

Rainy morning, so I used some found things today instead of looking to the garden. I do like the cut out design in the disc shape.

These papery looking flowers vine and grow around in the privet hedge. I always thought they were pretty but with a hard funereal edge. I love the color. This spring is bringing a deep understanding of the Hawaiian tradition of using flowers for accessories. They really are quite a precious material..

I grew collards over the winter and didn't keep up with pinching back the flowers. (Are you supposed to pinch back collards? I'm not sure this was my first batch...) The flowers are so pretty though, they stand a good four feet at least and sway in an elegant way in the breeze. Another pleasant gardening discovery.
