Spring is a fragile thing. You have to enjoy it while it lasts. That's a starling egg. Not a good idea to build your nest in a dryer vent as you can see. Well, you live and you learn hopefully.
Materials:found egg, dried wisteria blooms, linen cord.

  1. Hopefully this bird can lay another egg in a better place. Starlings are a little scary too...but the birdie made a beautiful color. (did you find any "remains" in the egg?) A "little birdie" once told me: "Sometimes you have to crack a coupla eggs to make an omelet" and it was great advise! Thanks!

  2. My sister said she laid the egg on the ground in the garden intact, when we found it the next morning it was in the condition you see now. Empty. So I think somebody had themselves a little midinght snack.
